Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 21, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how Rentolony uses them, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow a site to recognise your device on future visits, remember your preferences, and keep you securely signed in.

2. How We Use Cookies

Rentolony uses cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) to keep you signed in, protect your account and forms from cross-site attacks, remember your preferences (like a selected location), and understand how the Platform is used so we can improve it.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

CategoryPurposeTypical Duration
Strictly NecessaryKeep you signed in, remember your session, and protect forms against cross-site request forgery (CSRF). The Platform cannot function correctly without these.Session, or up to 30 days for "Remember Me"
PreferenceRemember choices such as your selected state/location and display settings, so you don't have to re-enter them on every visit.Up to 1 year
AnalyticsHelp us understand aggregate usage patterns — such as which pages and searches are most used — so we can improve the Platform. This data is used in aggregate and is not sold to third parties.Up to 1 year
Third-Party PaymentSet by our payment processor, Paystack, only when you are actively completing a payment to Rentolony (for example, a subscription or wallet top-up). Governed by Paystack's own privacy and cookie practices.Set and controlled by Paystack

4. Third-Party Cookies

Other than cookies set by our payment processor during an active checkout, Rentolony does not currently use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this Policy and, where required by law, request your consent before setting such cookies.

5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

Most web browsers let you view, manage, and delete cookies through their settings. You can typically:

  • Block all cookies, or only third-party cookies;
  • Delete existing cookies; and
  • Be notified when a cookie is set.

Please note that blocking or deleting strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of Rentolony — such as staying signed in or submitting forms — from working properly. Blocking preference or analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the Platform's core features.

6. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for legal reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
